Shawn began with recorder at age 7 & then learnt piano, guitar, & finally at age 20 the bass guitar. He found himself at folk sessions, going back to recorders of all different sizes to improvise over folk songs & play traditional Irish tunes. He then took this repertoire to markets as a busker.
